About The Pokey Pony

My name is Erika Isbell, welcome to The Pokey Pony channel! I created The Pokey Pony to make new exciting changes to the model horse hobby. I hope to welcome youth and newcomers into the hobby through helpful Youtube tutorial videos, and provide fun challenges to veteran showers, because I fully believe everyone should give performance a try! LOL!

I got my very first Breyer horse as a child, the dressage horse Pay N Go. My older sister and I played with them constantly as kids. I stopped playing and packed the "uncool" toys away when I was 10, however this break did not last long- I discovered the world of model horse showing and (serious) collecting at the age of 13 and have never looked back!

I have shown in performance since that very first show. I have a great love for performance showing, and hope to inspire other showers to give it a try!
